BIOLASE Declares Stock Dividend for 2014 First Quarter

IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 03/05/14 -- BIOLASE, Inc. (NASDAQ: BIOL), the world's leading manufacturer and distributor of dental lasers, including the Company's proprietary WaterLase®, and a pioneer in laser surgery in other medical specialties, as well as a distributor of digital radiography, intra oral scanners, and chair-side milling machines and 3-D printers for dentistry, today announced that its Board of Directors (the "Board") has declared a one-half percent stock dividend payable on March 28, 2014, to stockholders of record on March 14, 2014. In addition, the Board adopted a two percent annual stock dividend policy for 2014.

While the foregoing stock dividend policy for 2014 is the current policy of the Board, the actual declaration of future stock dividends, and the establishment of record and payment dates, is subject to final determination by the Board after its review of the Company's financial performance, expected future operations and earnings, and any other factors as the Board may deem relevant. The Company's dividend policy may also be changed at any time, and from time to time, by the Board.
